Nothing wrong with a little photo still life. The trick is to see the symbolism/meaning, not just the objects.
The reference is to Gurdjieff’s three “being foods” necessary to maintain any cosmos, anybody: first, physical substance, second air, third impressions (stimulation). Easy and it makes sense. You can die if any is absent but most of us not in war zones take them for granted. The delight we take in them can lead to distracting associations that hijack our purpose and aim. Now, what was that again?
Lord, we need constant reminders that our aim and purpose consist of inner work that leads to You. Forgive us when we forget. Forgive us when we complain about Your reminders. Let my feet stay on your path, let me run and not grow weary. Bless those planted in my garden. Bless those who aren’t. I wish we could all agree what is the right way and unite on it. IJN
